Integrating Storytelling in the Curriculum.
Using a variety of stories this workshop looks at ways of integrating folktales across the curriculum.
Groups are given stories to work on and asked a series of questions to present to the whole group as this workshop aims to generate discussion and exploration of the richness of folk material. * Learning to use folktales and story to empower listener and teller
This workshop aims to help participants discover the magic of folktales and ways of telling these rich stories to engage audiences. Telling tips are a large part of this workshop.

Telling the Personal Story.
Using a variety of exercises this workshop encourages the participants to explore personal stories through interviews and listening skills.

Exploring Multicultural Stories in the classroom and community.
Groups are given stories from various cultures and are encouraged to re tell these stories and discuss various issues that arise during the working process. Questions of how to tell stories of another culture and the problems that arise from this are discussed and explored.

Vocal techniques for storytellers.
Exercises given to deal with vocal issues that arise from
the overuse of the voice. Discussion and hands on work with ways to help participants produce the best vocal sounds for storytelling. How to warm up for a performance, what to do when losing the voice during a stressful work season, how to deal with character voices, how to find your own voice and vocal style. Anyone can sing.

Using music and instruments in storytelling
The use of music in storytelling can enhance the stories for the listener of all ages. This workshop is designed to empower the teller no matter what level of skill and experience to find ways of adding music and sounds in their telling. No musical experience needed.
