Welcome to Curriculum Connections

When people hear these stories they imagine them and their creativity is enlivened.
When a child hears a story, the story becomes theirs. Using stories from the various cultures of children in the classroom generates the students' pride in their own cultural identity. It also encourages a respect for and greater understanding of the cultures of fellow classmates.

Furthermore, when students connect with a story and have equity in it, their involvement leads them to explore thoughts and ideas that connect to other curriculum areas.
